Cross-Laminated Timber panels are made from softwood timber slat boards glued together under pressure using formaldehyde-free adhesives to form large-format building elements that are used for the construction of walls, floors and roofs.

Thanks to the cross-wise bonded structure of the longitudinal and cross slats, wood expansion and shrinkage in the panel plane is reduced to an insignificant minimum. At the same time, this raises the structural load capacity and dimensional stability.

KLH’s CLT boards are approved as certified building material, with all of the timber resources being sourced in Austria and either PEFC and/or FSC certified. In KLH’s modern production facilities, all CLT panels are exclusively produced in a project-specific manner, engineered for structural and fire-protection requirements. All CLT panels are delivered directly to the construction site on a just-in-time basis, mostly in open-top containers. Container unloading and installation requires site cranage.
